Who We Are

J-DAPA offers a variety of dance and theater classes, ranging from beginner to advanced to account for a variety of skill levels. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive program, where all people are offered a high quality dance and theatre education at an affordable rate. J-DAPA is one of Rhode Island’s only community theater programs that also offers adult dance classes, as we believe there is no age limit on performance. Founder, Donna Tellier, and lead dance teacher, Brieanna Tellier, have been teaching for 20+ years in the industry and bring an understanding of both performance and technique into the classroom to produce well-rounded dancers. Classes include musical theatre dance, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip-Hop. Our acting classes are taught by longtime J-DAPA members Serena Roy, Dave Sackal, and Aubrey Dion, who all have several years of experience working with children at both J-DAPA and other organizations in Rhode Island. Our voice class and private voice lessons are taught by our resident music Director, Danielle Grilli-Marzan, to help students not only sound amazing but learn good technique to keep the vocal cords healthy. With J-DAPA, the opportunities are endless and we invite you into our company with open arms. For more information, please click through our current course offerings.
